How to use the Watermark PDF
- Add one or more PDF files.
- Type the watermark text and choose its size, opacity and colour.
- Choose diagonal or straight, and once in the middle or repeated across the page.
- Press "Add watermark" and download the marked PDF.
The watermark is drawn over each page as see-through text, so the content underneath stays readable. A low opacity (20–30%) marks the page without getting in the way; "Repeated" covers the whole page and is harder to crop out of a screenshot.
The watermark is written into the page itself and shows in every reader and on paper. Pages turned sideways are marked the right way up as well.

Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened, changed and saved by your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to File Perks or anyone else, so confidential documents stay with you.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is part of the page, so it is not easy to remove, but determined people with editing software can. For real protection, also use Protect PDF.
Will the watermark hide my text?
At the default 25% opacity the text underneath stays readable. Lower the opacity for a lighter mark.
Can I use an image or logo as a watermark?
Not yet: this tool adds text. Your company name in text works well as a mark.
