About File Perks
Free PDF and image tools. File Perks is a set of image and PDF tools that each do one job, quickly, on your own device.
What it does
File Perks converts images between JPG, PNG and WebP, opens HEIC photos from iPhones, compresses, resizes and crops images, sizes them for social media, changes plain backgrounds, turns images into Base64, turns SVG drawings into PNG and creates favicon packs. For PDFs it merges, splits, compresses, rotates and reorders files, removes or extracts pages, adds page numbers and watermarks, protects files with a password or unlocks those you know the password of, turns images into PDFs and PDF pages into images or text. Every tool on this site works today. Nothing is listed that is not built.
How it works
The tools use your browser's own image engine (the canvas), the open-source libheif decoder for HEIC photos, the open-source pdf-lib library to change and save PDFs, and Mozilla's PDF.js to draw and read PDF pages, all running on your device. Your files are not uploaded, so they cannot be kept, viewed or shared by anyone, and conversion starts without waiting for an upload.
Who makes it
File Perks is developed by Usman Hussnain. Questions and problem reports are welcome. See the contact page.
