The service

File Perks provides free tools that convert and edit image and PDF files in your browser. The tools are offered as they are, and may change or be withdrawn at any time.

Your files and rights

You keep all rights to your files. Because processing happens on your device, File Perks never receives them. You are responsible for having the right to use, convert and share the files you process.

Acceptable use

Do not use File Perks to break the law or infringe anyone's rights, and do not try to disrupt the website, overload it, or use it to harm others.

Unlock PDF only removes protection from files you can already open: you must supply the password, or the file must open without one. File Perks never guesses, recovers or bypasses passwords. Only unlock documents you own or are allowed to change.

Protect PDF encrypts a file with the password you choose. Nobody, including File Perks, can recover that password or open the file without it; keeping it safe is your responsibility.

No warranty

We work to make every conversion correct, but we cannot guarantee that every file in every browser converts without errors. Keep your original files until you have checked the results.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, File Perks and its developer are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the tools, including loss of data.

These terms may be updated; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
