How to use the PDF to PNG

  1. Add a PDF.
  2. Choose the image quality (72, 150 or 300 dpi), and all pages or some pages.
  3. Press "Convert".
  4. Download the image, or all pages together as a ZIP.

PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so text and thin lines have no blur or JPEG "noise" around them. That makes PNG the better choice for documents, diagrams and screenshots of a page, and for images you will edit further.

PNG files are larger than JPG, especially for pages with photos. When size matters more than perfect sharpness, use PDF to JPG.

Good to know

  • PDFs up to 50 MB each. Very large files need a lot of memory; a computer handles them best.
  • Up to 200 pages per conversion; choose "Some pages" for longer files.
  • Password-protected or restricted PDFs are not opened here: unlock them first with Unlock PDF if you know the password.
  • Pages get a white background, as in a PDF reader.

Your files are processed on your own device. They are not uploaded to File Perks or anyone else. Read the Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened, changed and saved by your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to File Perks or anyone else, so confidential documents stay with you.

Is PNG better than JPG for PDF pages?

For text and drawings, yes: PNG stays perfectly sharp. For photo pages, JPG gives much smaller files that look the same.

Are the PNG images transparent?

No. Pages are drawn on white, the way PDF readers show them.

Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Choose "Some pages" and type numbers and ranges such as 1, 3-4.
