How to use the JPG to PNG
- Add one or more JPG files.
- Press "Convert".
- Download each PNG, or all of them as a ZIP.
PNG is lossless: the converted file keeps every pixel of the JPG exactly as it is, so nothing gets worse. It does not undo compression the JPG already has, and the PNG is usually several times larger than the JPG.

Good to know
- The PNG will normally be larger than the JPG. That is expected for photos.
- A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG has none either. Converting does not remove a background.

Frequently asked questions
Will converting to PNG improve my photo?
No. PNG stores the pixels exactly, so the image looks the same as the JPG. It just stops any further loss when you edit and save again.
Why is the PNG so much bigger?
PNG compresses without losing anything, and photos have a lot of detail, so the file is larger. For a smaller file, keep the JPG or try WebP.
Does it remove the background?
No. Converting changes the file format only. The picture stays exactly the same.
