How to use the JPG to WebP
- Add one or more JPG files.
- Choose the quality (about 80% is a good balance).
- Press "Convert" and check the size difference for each file.
- Download the WebP files one by one or as a ZIP.
A JPG that is already heavily compressed may not shrink much more. File Perks measures each result and shows the actual change, including when the WebP turns out larger.

Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my photo be?
It depends on the photo and the quality you choose. File Perks shows the original and the new size for every file, so you see the real difference rather than an estimate.
Will my photo lose quality?
WebP is lossy at the quality settings offered here. At around 80% most people cannot see a difference; lower settings soften fine detail.
Is the photo rotated correctly?
Yes. The rotation stored by your camera is applied to the pixels, so the WebP looks upright everywhere.
