How to use the Image Cropper

  1. Add an image.
  2. Choose a ratio (Free, 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 or 9:16), or type the crop size and position in pixels.
  3. Drag the frame to move it, and drag its corners to resize it. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys to move it and Shift with the arrow keys to resize it.
  4. Pick the output format, press "Crop" and download the image.

The crop is made from the original pixels at full resolution, not from the smaller preview you see on screen. The numbers always show the real size of the crop.

Frequently asked questions

How do I crop a square profile picture?

Choose the 1:1 ratio, move the square over the face, and crop. You can then use the Image Resizer to make it, for example, 400 × 400 pixels.

Can I type exact dimensions?

Yes. The X, Y, width and height boxes are in pixels of the original image, and the frame follows what you type.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag the frame with your finger to move it, and drag a corner to resize it.
